BestInBounds is speaking at Clevedon community hall, a similar crowd to days previously has gathered around to listen to his message and give their support.

Talofa Lava everybody! Thanks for coming out and joining me today, it's been a great time meeting you all and I'm happy to finally be here in sunny Clevedon! This morning no doubt you saw the release of our 2021 manifesto and i'm incredibly excited to bring you our plan for a better future for New Zealand. Hence why we named it "Thinking Forward", because we have always been adjusting to keep up with the times, and the policies required. We've adapted, and we have changed where need be, and we know you're receptive to that because we are set to achieve some of our best results in party history! We couldn't of achieved this without your help, and support. I'm happy that my campaign, that our campaign has always, and will always be grass roots. Formed from and for the people that it serves. The finishing line is in sight, but we still have work to do, and we still need to get the message to everyone.

An important aspect of this is how we continue our post-covid economic recovery, we've laid the groundwork, but there still are steps needed to regain our strong economic footing. ACT's plan combines a practical approach with advice from experts in the field to maximise the benefits to all New Zealanders. It starts with a permanent income tax for middle income earners from 30% to 17.5%, with a view towards a tax free threshold for our lowest earners, took put more money in the hands of kiwis, and more purchasing power into the economy, supporting our local businesses as they climb out of the post covid mire. We've always maintained that ACT's approach is giving a hand up, not a hand out. We'll slash GST from 15% to 10%, the problems with GST are numerous, and the reduction will pave the way for a future where we scrap the tax totally. Not only putting more money in the pockets of Kiwi's but addressing the obvious inequality issues that come with it as well. We'll slash core crown debt as well, with a view to repaying debt by 2028 and reducing the burden our future earners will have to pay to make up for irresponsible fiscal management. We'll slash red tape costing our economy $5 Billion dollars, an egregious sum that we cannot be afford to losing in perilous financial times such as now.

Health wise, ACT remains consistent in our approach. We brought great reforms in our time in office, and made the system work for the people in a way that made sense, and also addressed some of the systemic problems with our healthcare system. But we are not done yet, we still have work to do and I have faith that we can, and with your help? We will. A vote for ACT means a new National Public health services to bring together some of the DHB functions into a cohesive unit. Within the confines of the simpson report, we'll reform the DHB's so that they aren't a convoluted mess, that not even the DHB members are capable of understanding. Transgender healthcare is a key area of focus moving in to the next term as we continue to address the inequities, and gaps in accessibility and care that make it hard for transgender people to feel secure in who they are. Under ACT leadership this will change, and we will implement a plan that allows us to tackle the gaps in coverage and create a better medical framework for which we can provide the best care possible. We also must recognise the key role of the private sector in providing healthcare to under serviced communities and move forward in partnership rather than adversity with these firms for the betterment of our entire population.

Benefits are another point for us to change, it's been abundantly clear that the benefit system does not work for the majority of New Zealanders at the lowest levels of income nor does it even reflect our nations best interests. Our government did more to aid lower income families than the left, and the likes of Labour even opposed the boost to families! Who truly is the party of the people, those who fight for the working Kiwi's income, or those who oppose much needed funds, in times like these. We'll maintain the safety of all kiwi's by implementing a no jab no pay policy, so that the collective health of kiwi's is not compromised by those who subscribe to psuedo science and fear mongering. Obviously there will be exceptions, those who are allergic or the like, and other such circumstances. Naturally we will also be expanding access for beneficiaries to make obtaining vaccinations easier for all. We will also implement a tax free threshold for all incomes up to $14,000 to allow our lowest earners, to keep more of what they earn, and put more cold hard cash in their wallet, to help them and their families as they see fit.

Folks, you've been absolutely golden today listening to me. I hope that what I've said today is something you like, and want to hear. I'll be talking more about this don't you worry, but the main takeaway is that we have a plan for you. We want to help you, and we can, with your help. Your vote matters, and putting your faith in ACT, to do what our name suggests, that is, ACT, is an investment in a healthier New Zealand, a stronger economy, and reforms that will make it a better place in the future. We have done so much already, we can do more given your help, to continue the work that has started and fight for a New Zealand where you work hard, do all the right things, and be rewarded for it, with a warm belly, a roof over your head in a safe home, a strong economy, and a government that is capable of handling your money responsibly.

Don't Delay, ACT!

Vote two ticks yellow.
