Armodafinil messes up my sleep. Bad!

Doc switched me from modafinil to armodafinil. I take it as soon as I wake up. It lasts entirely too long so I split the pill in half. It still lasts entirely too long. Will splitting it into a quarter make the effect duration not so long or just weaken the effectiveness? I bought 90 days worth for a trip and I'm not gonna be able to switch back for 120 days.
