When a user is sitewide banned, all their comments are apparently removed. Could the removal reason be something other than "Comment removed by moderator"?
Post Body

This gives a false impression that the moderator team went through that persons history and out of spite removed all their comments.

I am perfectly fine with rule breakers getting sitewide banned and their comments being removed, it does however make people upset at the moderators because the end user gets the wrong impression.

In fact I think it is probably the perfect call to remove all their comments, as site wide banned users will likely have many comments violating the rules of reddit.

There is also nothing in the Modlog to indicate what happened with those comments, they are like a ghost left them. A ghost that says the moderators did this.
