i appreciate the upgrade to the block feature that made it so blocked users can't view your profile or reply to you at all. but i don't understand why that means i can't reply to anyone else in the same thread as someone i've blocked.
if A & B get in an argument, and B blocks A, then C replies to B, B can't reply to C simply because A is upthread. that doesn't make any sense. that wasn't what B was trying to stop and effectively means that instead of just kicking A out of B's inbox, both A and B have been booted from the conversation entirely. and now any number of users can show up after the fact and say whatever they want and the only way B can do anything about it is to unblock the person who was harassing them in the first place. which seems pretty counterproductive for a finally-functional true block feature.
tl;dr there's no reason blocking a user should mean being unable to reply to anyone else in the same comment chain.
