On /r/adhd, we have several recurring megathreads that we're hoping will reduce the volume of basically-identical posts that tend to flood the subreddit. Right now, we're trying to get people to use these by linking to search pages for each flair, sorted by new, but his is a usability nightmare. We get frequent modmails from people who say that the links don't work for them, or they don't know how to find the latest post.

Some of this is probably user error, but also the search pages are just really bad, and who knows how the various 3rd-party mobile clients handle search links. We'd like a way to link directly to the latest thread with a specified flair, maybe something like [!flair-here!]. This won't address the issue with 3rd-party clients, but it'll really help on reddit-controlled clients.
