/r/adhd is dealing with a frequently-repeated criticism that it's an overly negative place, that we encourage people to hate themselves and that we don't encourage people to get better or address their problems in a healthy manner. This is completely wrong, but I can understand where these criticisms are coming from. While we have tons of people helping and supporting each other and giving great advice, we also have a lot of very hurt and upset people posting rants. That's just part of what a support group is for, and we're not going to change that.
The change we are interested in making going forward is adding more and better post flair, and making flair required for posting. To support those people who only want to see the positive posts, it would be really helpful if there were some kind of built-in flair filtering system, or at least boolean search operators so that we can search for posts with at least one of a specified set of flairs. This would make reddit overall vastly more useful.
