Cannot access modmail for 1 community

I got control of a makeup subreddit (/r/makeuptips) but cannot access the modmail. I get a 'this page cannot be found'.
I've tried logging out on modmail page as well as on reddit itself to no success.
The sub doesn't show in my moderator tools at all, but I can access the mod tools if I go to the subreddit itself. Just not the mail area for mods.
