regarding reporting and banning bot accounts: what has a more meaningful impact on helping to signal their accounts?
Post Body

repost bot shows up on the sub and reposts some old thing.

  • remove and ban for whatever

  • remove and ban for sitewide spam violation

  • mark as spam, no ban issued

  • mark as spam and ban for whatever

  • mark as spam and ban for sitewide spam violation

does option 5 add more weight as far as signaling to higherups that the account is inorganic?

Comments

Option 5 would be what I'd do.

These spam accounts seem to come back sooner or later anyways. So make sure to adjust your AutoMod and add keywords they often use like "Link in Comments", "L1nk in C0mment5" and so on.

There are also useful bots that can filter out the spammy bot accounts. Often they use spam bots to promote OF content so you could use /u/OnlyFansBanBot for example.
