Hey folks, waiting for a copy of ZERO: A New Approach To Non-Alcoholic Drinks to arrive. Wondering if any kind folks who already own it can let me know some of the ingredients I should pre-purchase in anticipation of its arrival? (Having no knowledge of what's actually in the book this could be a ridiculous question; I'm not sure if it's a huge array of ingredients or there are a few specifically tricky to find ones that would be good to get on order).
I'm wondering specifically in regards to the spirit substitutions and ingredients that aren't easily found at a metropolitan-area grocery store. I saw on another post that there's a specific type of barley required for example - that's probably something I'm going to have to look out specifically for.
Appreciate you taking the time, I'm really trying to cut down on the actual booze and finding it quite difficult in the evenings when I'm used to having a nice cocktail or two. A soda or kombucha just isn't cutting it in terms of complexity, so I'd like to hit the ground running with this one once it arrives. Cheers!
