personally felt like it was a weak statement from them, in a sense that it felt like they didn’t talked with the players before releasing it or they were playing ‘safe’. i understand that it might be a business decision but somehow it contradicts what they want for the community to be.
was expecting them to be more people-centric with handling issues like this but right now, it looks like they’re only milking the situation for the worse.
posting here cuz tried to open up this discussion on facebook yet people are really missing the point (ie. “dont attack the management cuz their doing great with managing the issue by staying neutral” or “dont attack tier one cuz it’s moontoon that is wrong”), blacklist/tier one is not perfect and somehow contributing to how the situation is getting worse. their statement with trying to be neutral and to balance out the situation doesnt mean they shouldn’t be held accountable.
they’re contributing to the mishandling that montoon is doing cuz they didnt have proper damage control even before all this got out of hand (and i personally feel like this all rooted with homophobic attacks and microaggression towards vw).
