Live on a plot of rural land and the only neighbors are related to me. Recently someone came out here, built a pen and put their two boxer mix puppies in it and left. We called animal control because we don’t know this person and they “abandoned” their dogs. Well they contacted the owners who said they were coming out every day and feeding and watering them. Which is true but again this isn’t their property! So we called the sheriffs and they talked to them. And apparently they can’t have the puppies where they are currently staying so they remembered this land from when they were kids and don’t understand why it’s a big deal for us. The sheriffs seemed to take their side and told us we would need to evict them? I’m just at a loss as what to do because we’ve called multiple times and now they are acting like we are the problems.
