(btw, I don't have the book on me - sorry if the quotes aren't exact)
This will sound stupid, idiotic and baseless, but I believe that Marasi is going to become a Kandra.
Why?
Well, there were a few moments that felt like strong forshadowing:
- When MeLaan heals her in the airship, first of all, the "you'll die sometime, of course you are" nitpick can be just a funny MeLaan moment, but might feel as an Irony forshadowing for Marasi becoming eternal. Moreover, she is scared from MeLaan's method, which she responds in "don't worry, you don't become a Kandra that easily."
- Later in the book, at the temple, when Marasi is talking with Wayne about ReLuur's spike, he says something very similar, about that she won't become a Kandra that easily.
Both interactions, with the fact the Original Kandra were humans and that something about it feels... Right, with Marasi's arc of searching becoming something unique and not Wax. Also the whole Kandra things and Marasi's closer bond with the Kandra than the rest of the group.
I am probably stupid and wrong, but stupid theories are always fun :)
