Can I watch Mission impossible dead reckoning with only have seen the first movie

I wanted to go see mission impossible dead reckoning in the theaters in a few days somebody asked me to go although I have only seen the first film would I be able to understand everything with have only seeing the first one?

You can… but if you can find time to watch MI 5 and 6 first you will enjoy it more. It’s not a deal breaker though. No real reason to have seen the first one either.
