My partner and I weren’t trying but we were completely shocked by this one. We felt all the emotions: scared, excited, elated, unsure.. We thought about ending the pregnancy but decided to give it the week and see how we felt due to our unforeseen excitement at the news.
The next day I had some spotting then that evening it went into a full blown miscarriage. Even for a pregnancy I wasn’t sure I wanted, no one tells you how painful and heartbreaking the whole experience can be.
All the physical pain and changes in your body, experiencing something you’ve never done before. The fear that goes with all of it. Googling all the symptoms to make sure this is all somewhat ‘normal’.
Since it all happened so fast we had no breathing room for any of it. It was huge emotion after huge emotion. My body is tired, my heart hurts.
