Post Body

16yr old me had a 19wk pregnant loss.

Ive had multiple losses in my 20s. None got over 9 wks.

In 2018 my husband and I started our ttc journey. No luck for 3yrs so 3rd yr went to a fertility specialist. They said they found nothing wrong. 4th yr started ivf process but fell pregnant naturally. She didn't make it sadly. Everything looked normal apparently.

I gave up ttc. got cervical cancer. Last oct i had bloods and my tsh was looked at. I had very bad hypothyroidism. Hashimotos disease.

I decided to look my ttc and miscarriages related to hypothyroidism and sure enough my specialist confirmed is very very likely ive had it awhile and may have been the cause this whole time

I looked at m bloods and none had my tsh looked at. Ever. Even at my fertility specialist appts. I was paying hundreds to these specialists. Im a bit frustrated it was never looked at :/

I dont wamt kids anymore. I am a great aunt by my mental health isnt fit to be a parent. But this is the most likely cause of this the whole time and I didnt even know and now its "fixed" aka stable I could start the process again and it makes me abit angry this was never looked at :/

May i ask those who went through fertility help. Did they test tsh levels?
