Hello!

I am looking to make some more friends, or people to chat with throughout the day, or date if we hit it off. I could really go for a date. I’m a 41 yo pleasantly plump, happily married poly/ENM man. I work in healthcare IT from home and have a lot of time on my hands.

I normally spend my day getting my work done in under and hour, then spending the rest of the day online either designing silly things, marketing myself, or chatting with whomever has the conversational skills to keep something going. I have a wide range of interests, but I am also fascinated by things I don’t have a great perspective or knowledge about. You can count on my adhd to take us down rabbit holes that don’t make sense. Like most of us here, I have my own levels of neuro-spicy.

What I’m looking for:

Honestly? Someone that can hold a conversation, even if the responses are slow. I’m sometimes guilty of “how was your day?” But that only tends to come when the convos get a bit boring. I will talk about… well… just about anything. My default is humor, both light and dark. If you know the basis of a “going to hell” joke, we should mesh just fine. I’m very guilty of your standard and obscure dad jokes too. I would prefer to find someone in the same region, but I’m ok chatting with anyone.

I am not very political, as I would rather burn down the bureaucracy than support it, but since that would never officially hold and I would be forcibly removed from my friends and family, I tend to lean much more on the liberal side (phonetically I just said moron). This may also play into why I always fight with HR whenever I get the chance. I believe all people should be treated fairly, and I’m not a fan of bigots and racists.

I do have a dad bod, and don’t mind sharing, It’s warm and fun. I have a solid day job that I hate, as I work with intelligent idiots. Honestly, how many people fully love their job anyway. I have a side hustle that lets me play with wood all day and allows me to explore my creative side with low pressure. I already established that I am a father, so puns come with this complete package. I love to read, play games (both board and video) and sometimes I even do other things. (These references can be cross-checked in the follow up interview for culture fit).

I’m a dedicated husband with two kids, but I’m over forty now, so my mind is expanding by trying new things regularly. I’m most commonly known in my circles for taking a joke too far in regards to props and punchlines, but not in a bad way. I like to design, build, collaborate, and sometimes talk about things way inappropriate, likely due to my own personal traumas that have happened over the years. I do sometimes write smut for others, draw nudes, and comment on body-positivity threads that may not reflect well on my professional career. Truth be told, I just want some more friends that I can talk about anything with, actually reveal my name to, and build genuine friendships with. Extra special bonus points if we can meet in person once we get to know each other and hang out like friends do.
