Any help very much appreciated:
I tried replacing the thermal pads on an Asus 3090 TUF a while back and found I couldn't get any improvements to what was already a hot card. After doing a lot of googling, I came across this set of pads by kriticalpads.com which indicated some of the pads were 1.65mm thick and so impossible for me to get the right thickness with pads in half mm increments.
I ordered a set and went through the replacement process for a second time, only to find that their set does not include two strips of pad which they deem un-necessary to replace (outlined in red):
My issue is that those pads have already been replaced, and I don't know what the correct thickness should be. I had thought this posting might help, but it only lists VRAM thickness and not those extra pads.
Does anyone know what these chips are (component type) and what the thickness of the pads for this location on an Asus 3090 TUF should be please?
