I dissected an old Toshiba laptop with the goal of turning it into a mini pc for emulation or just a cool little desktop. I didn't have a working charger for it for a bit but jumped into taking it apart just to check out what was going on on the inside. I got the laptop from my brother and the only issue he encountered with it was the battery didn't hold a charge. I got the charger and plugged it in, the fan starts spinning and everything seems fine. I decide to then plug it into my monitor through the onboard DVI. That doesn't work so I try the HDMI. I get nothing. It seems like the components themselves are working, the RAM is installed properly, but it just won't display. I forgot to mention but it IS stripped down to just the components. I am wondering if this is an issue with the native display missing. I am wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue and can help me through it. Thank you for your time reading this.
