Need a mini PC to act as a Plex media center and retro game console.

The goal is a media center capable of using the Plex media player, and playing retro games up to the GameCube. PS2 would be nice too but not a requirement.

I'm hoping to run chimeraOS on it, as I'm FAIRY sure I can install PLEX HTPC via flatpac on it without really having to jump through any hoops. Then I can add it to steam, associate art with it, and you'll never know this is a desktop PC after the initial setup.

For games I'm planning to install emudeck to handle emulators and steam integration, and use syncthing to handle roms and saves.

In terms of hardware I believe I NEED an AMD apu. I just think that's a requirement of chimeraOS. I'm looking at either the Lenovo thinkcenter m715q, or HP elitedesk 705 G4. Both use the AMD ryzen 2400ge.

Am I splitting hairs here? Am I totally off base? How much ram will I need? Am I too married to chimeraOS?
