PVP, online Minecraft Servers and rules?

So I had a question for everyone here as you play multiple worlds with other players. Do you set house and world rules. If so what are they. Normally for me someone’s chest is ask permission to take from and or ring doorbell before entering if possible or and if lastly leave a signed book in our mailbox.

Then another question what’s your trading policy, for me I traded 30 coal for 10 iron so it would be 60 per 10 diamonds. How would you secure a trading route so you can keep everyone happy and zero arguments.

Btw it’s completely vanilla Minecraft. You can make everything with red stone and communication.
