I've currently got a world that my friends and I have been working on for years. It's Medieval themed, and been around since Xbox 360. The world has been through a lot. Lots of corruption that required loading older saves, resulting in projects that were once completed to not be. Lots of people have passed through and left their mark. But I'll explain a bit of what our realm is all about.
The Realm itself was originally just a large medieval city build project. There are lots of empty houses, in lots of various styles that are ready to be moved into and customized at your will. We are however a very aesthetically focused realm and as that you refrain from building big ugly boxes and ask for a bit of help if you have trouble designing things yourself.
The city, and all of the surrounding area is located on a mushroom biome. There used to be a very old trick where you could get the entire map to spawn as one. This comes as a bit of a blessing and a curse, however. First, the city is mob-free. No having to worry about hostile mobs spawning outside your door and things like aesthetic lighting are possible here. However, as the world was created before the maps weren't limited, the original boundary needs some work. People who like to work with large scale terraforming would be put to hard work in these areas and it is going to take a while to fix.
The general idea though, is that we're going to eventually have a fully functioning city. Villagers will have large detailed buildings they can work in that include all of their current professions. Players will be able to live alongside them, or outside the city bounds on their own. It's entirely up to you.
If you're interested, please drop by our discord and say hi. I'm posting this rather late so it might be quiet for a few hours yet. Most of my friends and I are located in EST.
