My daughter watched the minecraft live broadcast today and promptly informed me that a minecraft realms subscription has shot to the top of her Christmas wish list. I'm confused about whether I am supposed to buy her Bedrock or Java, though.
She says:
She has access to both versions on her computer. She says she prefers Java, though.
She wants to be able to host a modded SMP world for her friends. From what little I can figure out on my own, the Java version may or may not let her do this, but bedrock will for sure. I think. Access to mods is the key for her.
She knows one of her friends uses a laptop to access minecraft, while another uses a tablet. A third friend she wants to invite doesn't currently play on any device. She isn't sure which version of minecraft they use.
I've tried reading the differences online, but I'm so lost. Which version do I need? Or what questions do I need to ask her/her friends to find out?
Thank you very much!
