Can someone tell me what this is and I cannot pickaxe through even with the diamond pickaxe?

Pretty new to the game so please bear with me this wad taken on a Sony PlayStation 5 with the PSVR1. Sorry I screenshots don't look very good when snapped on the VR. This would be considered bedrock Minecraft. Version 2.8.5
I was drilling down a large cave when I came upon this stuff and I can't pickaxe through it even with a diamond pickaxe.
