As you all know, we recently got the ability to make vertical redstone cheaply. But, the redstone current can only go upwards. We have to build the same painfully huge contraption to send the current up. We also got the ability to make upside down slabs. So why not torches? It would be easy to implement. It would also improve redstone devices immensely. We would be able to make things we could only imagine before. We could make 1x1 and gates, etc etc. This would revolutionize redstone forever. So please think about it!
