Hi everyone,
I’m a 36 year old dad of an amazing 6 year old kid who has been exposed to Minecraft and desperately wants to play. I was a huge video game geek as a kid (and hold on to my geekdom with my retropie and some of my old school games at home.)
We have a switch at home, and I’m prepared to get Minecraft for her, but have a couple questions because while I’m vaguely familiar with Minecraft since it’s huge and been around forever, was hoping someone could fill me in on:
1) The online component. Will she be exposed to other people who could potentially harass or be inappropriate with her? I know this probably sounds paranoid but she’s my everything and the internet can be a horrible place so.
2) How violent is it?
3) How much of it is creative building, and how much of it is completing missions or following a typical, linear path of a video game?
As I’m typing this I can’t believe I’m this old guy asking questions like this, but it’s where I am apparently lol. If you can please drop a comment I’d really appreciate it. Thank you!
