I have recently started a world me and my partner on split screen play PS4. I have attempted a mining session twice and both times achieved a good haul. However upon returning to my base both times I have been killed by a creeper and a witch upon respawing and going back to the area I died to collect my items - no more than 2 minutes, my items had despawned. 4 hours work down the drain. However my partner has died and forgot where their items were but when they eventually found the area 20 minutes later the items were still there to be collected. How does this happen?
