How to prevent ghost imaging when AFK?

Plenty of farms require the player to be AFK for long periods of time in order to obtain large quantities of resources. However, in my experience, this tends to burn the current environment into my screen, and when I return, there’s almost always results in a ghost image being stuck on screen.
