Single player crashing?

So I'm just getting back into vanilla and I have optifine downloaded for 1.13.2. Well I'll load a new world, it'll work fine and smoothly for about 2 mins top then just stop completely, I'll break a block and nothing will drop for over 5 mins and IDK what's going on. Anyone having this happen to them lately? I haven't kept with the MC scene lately as I've been trying to get better at LOL and PoE.
