Is it ok to use Fluctis for a small custom modded server between friends?

So we're looking for a server to host about 5 to 10 people, probably not all on at the same time, and Fluctis is probably the cheapest option that isn't really shady.
But upon research, people (specifically those on r/admincraft) say to avoid Fluctis because it's control panel sucks, customer support sucks, and there are reports of the server not starting. But those are people trying to do bigger servers, so would it be alright for a small, private, modded server?
