my son was begging me to get minecraft for christmas for him, so i did and have been trying to help him play as best i can. i never played before so i just google whatever he asks about (how do i craft this? where can i find that? etc). he's loving the game, dying constantly on hard mode, exploring a while on peaceful before swan diving off the highest cliff.
anyway, my question is for parents...what are some good "strategy" type tips i should pass along to him. i have him write down the coordinates of key stuff in the world that he likes, but is that the best way to keep track? should there be a main base and smaller bases? (he often gets lost even with coordinates so he just rebuilds a house wherever he wants) etc anything that would make it more fun
