Advice or suggestions for building this house?

So I saw a cool design of a house on a server and tried to recreate it on my creative world. This is the result. I think the roof is alright, but there is something wrong or missing. Either the cobble base or the wood main room is wrong, I just can't figure out why.
Any advice for improving this house? Or have you seen any houses that have this similar look?
