Cant join a minecraft forge server

so im hosting a modded forge minecraft server (version 1.20.1) and when i try to join it, it works perfectly, but when my brother tries to join on his computer, (same internet) it says:
Connection failed: no further information.
i've tried everything ive seen on other posts like restarting the computer, restarting my router, disabling the firewall, nothing works. any help?
