So I just recently got a lenovo legion go running windows 11. I installed minecraft Java and have watched multiple videos on installing mods. I have installed forge mod installer and I am trying to get the forge labs parasite hardcore mod to run. The mod is version 1.12.2. I have tried running that version of forge, the newest version of forge, I have manually put the mod in the mod folder using just file explorer, I have opened the mod folder from minecraft and put the mod in, I have tried every variation of installing the mod I have seen videos for, and I cannot get the mod to work.

I am new to modding minecraft but I did look to see if it needed extra mods to run and didn't see anything about needing additional mods. Please help.
