Iron farm ps5

yesterday I built an iron farm of a tutorial on youtube from James. It's a dig a pit place beds in a bunkbed style then layer up. It started out working fine but then suddenly stopped and can't figure out why. It sometimes spawns cats but that's a rarity too. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I fill it in and build a sky based one
