It's not OP if they are full iron, but for anyone trying to get out of a spawntown, seeing a premium (even for me, as a premium who doesn't do this) is a big middle finger in your face. Why? Well, 99% of the time it results in your death. May I remind you that most of MineZ's playerbase can't get out of spawntowns? Or even survive them for that matter? As it was, before the perks, you had somewhat of a chance to get away, as all they had was a wooden sword. Now, they can spawn with a bow, arrows, and a stone sword. It may not seem much, and some people will argue that "They aren't hard to kill, they don't have any potions." However, they just keep spawning back. Non-stop waves of newspawns with in some cases the best weapons a spawntown has. (Portsmouth, Gueten, Camp Bell) "You aren't losing anything" You're losing time. You're losing food and potions that you have been gathering up. For a non-premium, sometimes you have to walk a long distance to get to a town. Even as a premium it frustrates me.
I'd say either add a long cooldown for choosing spawn, or remove the full leather upon spawn.
