What PS3 version do they play on?

I just bought a PS3 slim and Iām having issues with it not going to 720p or higher for any of my games. Apparently it was common for the Slim with many people having the same issue. Does anyone know if they play on The Fatboy, Slim, or Super Slim? There gameplay for the PS3 looks amazing to me for that generation of consoles and I want to relive my childhood looking like that š
