Avoided Mindhunter because the show was cancelled even though it had great ratings. I didn't want to risk getting attached to an unfinished story. But I caved when I couldn't find anything else interesting on Netflix.
I JUST finished Mindhunter and I was so hyped for a third season. Then I remembered this show was cancelled. Mindhunter is an amazing piece of television, and it's really disappointing to see it get its head chopped off right as things were seriously picking up. Especially with how the S2 finale left things.
I was honestly invested in Bill and his family's storyline, and I was really hoping to see how the BSU was going to expand. S2 even teased the BTK Killer. It's just really sad that none of that ever materialized.
I'm still hoping that Mindhunter could potentially find a home at another network/streaming service (depending on the contract Fincher & co. had with Netflix). Even though that's probably never gonna happen at this point.
On another note, I can't believe I'm THIS passionate about a show I finished in less than a week lol. Man, did I grow attached to Bill, Holden and Wendy.
