I was occasionally using the old non-fuel brushed M18 orbital sander (mostly in the shop, very few uses outside with no plug). It is noisy and goes through batteries quite fast. So, I was looking for replacement of it.
Got the new M18 fuel random orbital sander and I have mixed feelings about its balance. If I put in 6ah battery, it tips over and feels heavy.
Am I doing it wrong? Is the new fuel sander meant to be used with small battery (like 3ah)? Will it last longer just because of brushless fuel motor? Looking at similar design by Bosch, it has way smaller battery.
How is yours experience with the new sander? Or is it better to get corded one?
