How to nuke properly: A simple guide
Post Body

First, make sure you have nukes. No nukes you say? Go ahead and go to nuclear tab and click on one of the big square boxes in the upper part of the tab. Once you click it it should show you the different nuclear policies/options you have in terms of your "political" stance on nukes. Want power only? Sure go ahead? Want nuclear power WHILE secretly having a nuclear program? SURE GO FOR IT!

Next, on the lower part of the nuclear screen you've got some weird percentages going on, and some weird thing beside it called LEU and HEU. No need to google what this means. Just remember L means Loser and H means HELL. So if you want plenty of nukes you better put some big percentage towards the H baddie. Also another percentage there would be the number of civs you will dedicated to this in terms of percentage.

Next go research some big bombs in the Nuclear Research tab. Once you've gotten your Nuke of choice, time to go to the decision tab and click on the Missile decisions. Select finish nuclear program and you shall receive the nuclear icon on your national spirit. Congratulations! you are now a nuclear power (unsanctioned ofcourse for RP purposes).

Now for the kaboom part. On the same screen/tab as the nuke production and options go to the missile tab. Select a missile. If you don't have missiles, go research some and go to the very first tab of this idkwhatucallitbuticallitmissilespacenukethingyscreen, then go make some missiles. Just take note of the abbreviations it uses for the different types of missiles.

Now once you've selected a missile time to select a war head. Choose any of your liking. Now for the confusing part.

You will need certain infrastructure to launch specific types of missiles. Ground launched cruise missiles or GLCMs require TEL batteries to fire. You can find this in the construction tab near the ABM, AA, and ICBM infrastructure options. Ballistic missiles require ICBM batteries/silos to fire, similarly you need to build infra to fire. Cruise missiles are more complex you need specific types of aircraft ON an airbase to do cruise missile firing. OKAY IF YOU HAVE THE INFRA THEN THIS IS WHAT U DO.

After setting the warhead, go click on the state that has the require infra built to fire. When u click a state there should be this, small info window what will appear. Look at the lower part of this thing and u will see one of the options/icons there in color red. This means you can select this state to fire your missile from. If there is color red icon there then you are unable to fire from this state due to other shit you probably forgot about. Anyway, after clicking the red icon you can now select the target state.

Now I'm not sure if you set the strikes as strategic or tactical, BEFORE or AFTER selecting the target state. Either way its one of those I can't remeber it at the moment BUT anyway. Tactical strikes affect enemy units damaging their organization and other stats stuff. Strategic strikes is where you get to select what you wanna hit. Do you wanna hit civs, mils, airbases, etc etc. Personally I like strategic strikes first, THEN I go do tactical but this requires alot of missiles.

Btw, before selecting the state where you wanna fire on make sure you check the small numbers on the left side of the missile tab. It should be number 1 by default. The left most number is the NUMBER OF SALVOS, and the number to the right of that is the NUMBER OF WEEKS that you will keep firing the missiles because THE MISSILES ONLY FIRE AFTER A CERTAIN NUMBER OF DAYS for some reason. Sorry Xerxes fans, we can't blot out the sun with our missiles.

LASTLY, TAKE NOTE OF RADIATION. I once tried to invade america, had a difficult time, nuked america, and couldnt end the war. Because when you nuke a state or an area, radiation appears afterward. This completely destroys organization preventing you from attacking or even moving at all. This affects all units within the area. Its horrible, but it does make for nice on screen fireworks.
