It seems like everyone and their mothers are really going through it right now.
I'm barely surviving, I make just enough to pay my bills and that's it. I'm not falling behind, but I'm breaking even with zero disposable income for leisure/luxuries.
Apparently that means I'm well off these days?
I've noticed a pattern that once every 3 months, I get hit up for ridiculous amounts of money from friends, family, and coworkers. It's been this way since the first lockdowns.
Every 3 months its:
hey I need $250 hey I need $500 hey I need $700 hey I have one can of Chili to last me until Tuesday I need $150
The lost goes on and on.
Why is this? Is there something happening to everyone's finances quarterly that I don't know about?
I help where and when I can, but I'm not sending anyone anything above $50-100 because I can barely afford anything myself. It's getting to the point that I'm ready to tell each and every one of them to suck it and figure it out themselves. I realize black Friday just came and went, I got absolutely hammered with requests for money and I told all of them no.
But Every 3 months, what the hell?
