Do any other millennials prefer working in an office over WFH?

Post Body

I'm a young millennial (early 90s) who just got his first salaried WFH job 6 months ago. From 2020-2023, I worked a hybrid schedule (4 days in the office). Before 2020, I was fully in the office. My last hybrid job (also salaried) was in the city center and the commute was about 20 minutes. The only downside was finding parking - it was impossible to find if you didn't have a $200 parking pass. But, we had dozens of cafe, lunch spots, etc all within a three block radius.

I'm started to realize I kinda miss office life. I miss the routine of waking up early to get nicely dressed, grabbing coffee at one of the local cafes, having a nice office with a huge desk and bonus snack drawer, free printer, fast WiFi, any office supply I could ever need, etc. I had an actual office, not just a cubicle, so this may be coloring my perception. But, I also (and mostly) just miss just interacting with coworkers and getting lunch with them.

WFH, I feel more disconnected from my new coworkers. Like, by month 6 at my old job I was already getting dinner/drinks with my coworkers (not forced, I actually liked them).

The general rhetoric I hear from millennials, especially those on the cusp like myself, is that WFH is far better office life. While I am saving money and time by not having to commute, I think I prefer a hybrid schedule for nearly every other reason.

Does any other millennial feel the same?
