From the most informal to the most formal, what types of standing are there? (At ease, at attention, etc.)
Also, when someone is called into the office of a superior officer (an NCO for example being called into the office), is the default to stand at attention? When entering the office, what is the protocol for addressing the officer? Is the protocol different for when an officer is called into the office of a superior officer vs. an NCO?
Also, does asking to "speak freely" actually happen from a lower ranking soldier or is that just something that happens in movies?
Thanks!
