Ordered a 5266 scvi, and currently waiting for delivery. The salesperson was insistent on having a factory certified tech install the dishwasher. As an apartment maintenance tech of 5 years, I feel pretty confident in installing it myself. I've looked at Miele's installation guides, and it seems pretty easy (even easier than most I've dealt with).

However, I'm willing to be wrong. I did pay a pretty penny, and if forking over a $160 fee to get it done right is the price, it's no bother to me. Has anyone else installed this dishwasher themselves? Have you had issues with it, or run into problems down the line? Did it affect your warranty?
