So I have just finished watching the movie, I got to say that I am all freaked out right now ! It is so creepy ! and well done indeed.

However it seems like I am missing something, so basically a group of friends gets invited to Midsommar by their friend who is secretly offering them as a sacrifice for heredity. Then they get slaughtered one by one for different reasons, then I don't know why they burn the 9 guys at the end ? Could someone explain exactly what's up ?

What would happen if the black guy didn't try to take photos or if that idiot didn't piss on the ancient tree, or if the third didn't try to escape ? Why did the boy friend get stuffed into a bear. I really feel lost of what is this movie trying to deliever other than creepy traditions in an isolated village in sweden?
