Hello all,

I just wanted to report that I found a way to use Amazon gift cards to buy steam gift cards. As we all know, you cannot use a Walmart, Best Buy, or target gift card to buy a steam gift card. The lone exception here is GameStop.

What I did was buy $25 worth of Amazon Gift cards, then bought a digital GameStop gift card, then used that to get a Steam card. The only annoyance is you must do this in person. Online doesn’t work, it MUST be done in person. Some others on the Steam subreddit confirmed that GameStop cards do work as well, so it wasn’t just my store.

Edit: supposedly if you’re in California or another eligible state, you can do this online. Try it before driving down to your GameStop.
