Thanks to u/TheJizel for the heads up the first time back in December! Figured I'd see if it would work again when I saw this one popup in the Xbox One rewards app and it did! As before, you don't need to own FIFA 2020 or even play the game to complete this.
Punch expires Jan 13th, works in the US/UK (likely works elsewhere too), and the steps are easy:
- Activate the Team of 2019 Punchcard - Despite it saying 2019, this is for FIFA 2020, so be sure to get the right points in step 2 by getting to them via the punchcard.
- Purchase 250 FIFA points ($2.49 state tax) - You're going to use 2,900 MS points (or 3,100 if you are Lv.1) to buy a $3 MS/Xbox gift card to pay for the FIFA points.
- Step 2 for UK - Seems the best way is to buy the 250 FIFA points outright for £1.99 since the lowest you guys can apparently get is a £5 MS/Xbox gift card through Microsoft Rewards (you'd be left with £3.01 and 3 months to spend it otherwise). Same applies to any country in a similar boat.
- Punch the final slot and you're golden! - Again, you don't need to own or play the game (hilariously enough) to get this checked off.
So, for those of us in the US, we get our 2,900pts back, 2,100 extra points, and a bonus 20pts (that $2 FIFA points purchase) all for a grand total of 5,020pts.
Those in the UK lose £1.99 out of pocket but gain a nice 5,000pts whatever your points per £ spent is.
Edit: Another user posted before me apparently while I typed this up slowly on my phone, but I'll keep it up as it has more details.
Edit 2: If it doesn't track right away, give it a bit as punchcards and quests can be a bit sluggish at times.
Edit: 3: Updated for those in the UK and made things a bit clearer for those that may have been confused. I posted this shortly after I woke up lol.
