So this was a new one for me, as i’ve been using the FBW mod for a couple weeks now.
I was in my descent (which ATC totally fucked up (go figure), which will be important) and realized i am way too high, like 14000ft higher that i should be, because ATC told me to descend too late. So i canceled my IFR so i could just fly myself in without being yelled at by ATC. Realizing i’m way too high, i went into selected heading mode (pulled the knob), changed the heading so i can vector myself out to lose some altitude before i reach the localizer, but nothing happened. The plane continued following the FP, and after a few seconds the plane reverted back to managed heading mode on the panel. I tried this a few more times, but still, every time, the plane continued on the FP. I eventually just ended up disconnecting the AP and hand flying it from 18000ft (good times). Am i missing a step that isn’t included in the vanilla A320? I could have sworn i’ve used selected heading mode before in the FBW with no issues.
I’m on the dev release that came after the AP issues from like a week or so ago, so i’m not sure if there’s been a new release lately or not.
