LNAV autopilot confusion, 747-8
Post Body

Hello everyone. I used to play MSFS on my series X pretty often, but stopped for around a year and a half. Went back into the game today, and it has clearly gone through several updates. When I used to play often, I would select a departure/arrival from the Home Screen, select IFR low altitude, pick an ILS runway, and an arrival vector. When I would load into the cockpit, the FMC on the 747-8 would already have the flight plan loaded in with vectors and altitude for each leg. Using LNAV with autopilot would follow the flight plan.

Today, I did everything the same, but the FMC when I load in does not look the same. The legs don’t have altitudes listed and there are errors on some legs of the trip. When I take off and turn autopilot on, the plane flies straight, but does not automatically turn with LNAV engaged.

Am I missing something? I can’t figure out what has changed since I last played.

Thanks for any advice!
