Okay, so… it’s not exactly the Grand Canyon or anything. The other day I made a post about having poked my incision and seeing blood. I spoke with my doctor and he said that can be common, people make mistakes but it didn’t look like it had opened up.

Fast forward to tonight, it most definitely is open although there’s no bleeding or pain. Spoke with my doctor and I’m going to the surgical center first thing in the morning. He can’t tell from the picture how deep it opened, so he’s unsure if he’ll need to put me under anesthesia although that is a possibility so he said I have to come with someone.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? If so, what did your recovery look like? For reference this was an L5/S1 MD.
