Do you buy watches that are redundant or distinct?
Post Body

Hey, I'm curious - how do y'all decide which watches to buy? Do you try to fill different boxes - like a diver, a dress watch, a field watch, chrono, etc...or do you buy watches that are very similar in terms of their style and function because that's, well, just what you like?

For an everyday watch I've been wearing the Citizen Garrison on a NATO strap, and I like it, works well, legible, and it's durable. But I've recently been eyeballing the RZE Urbanist Solar, which is very similar in all sorts of ways. It's a touch more expensive but in the same ballpark. Should I buy the RZE knowing it's so similar to the watch I already have? Do you tend to buy the same genre of watch or do you tend to switch it up for variety?
